TiasNimbas changes name

No more TiasNimbas Business School. After the 15th of May, we all have to refer to the school as TIAS School for Business and Society. The new name emphasizes that the new generation of business schools is in the heart of business and society, according to the website.

The institute once started with the name Tias, but merged with the Utrecht-based company Nimbas in 2006. Tias-dean Philippe Naert became head of the new institute. By working together, the institutions hoped to become one of the leading European business schools. At the time, dean Naert said: ‘It is our ambition to belong to the first division of business schools in Europe. As a top school, you have to be big. The average schools won’t make it. That’s why we needed this take-over.’

The name ‘Nimbas’ now disappears  from the institute.
