Wim Dubbink a new professor of Business Ethics
Wim Dubbink from 1 April 2012 is appointed Professor of Business Ethics at the School of Humanities. Dubbink focuses his work on fundamental issues in business ethics.
Dubbink will investigate the moral organization of the market and the company, the relationship between self-interest and morality and the duty to do good (charity) on the market.
According to Dubbink, the doubts about the existence of a business ethics are unfounded. He claims that a free market can only exist thanks to the moral.
Dubbink (1963) studied history and philosophy at the University of Groningen and did a PhD in General Management Sciences at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Since late 2003 he worked as a (main) business ethics professor at Tilburg University.
