De Bont appointed as acting vice-rector Tilburg University
For the time being, Antoinette de Bont is appointed as the new vice-rector of Tilburg University. She takes over from Jantine Schuit, who has left for Rotterdam. Due to the challenging times, the expected cutbacks in higher education, she will take over the position until a permanent successor is found.
De Bont came to Tilburg three years ago as the new dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (TSB). Prior to that, she was Vice-Dean of Education and Vice-Dean of Research at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Predecessor Jantine Schuit has made a reverse career move, she has been the new Rector Magnificus of Erasmus University since 1 November.
