Garretsen: qualify strong cannabis as hard drugs
Cannabis with more than 15 percent of the active ingredient THC should be labeled as hard drugs. The commission Garretsen, that conducted a research on marijuana and hashish for the previous Dutch government, recommends this, RTL news reported.
While the possession of hard drugs is strictly illegal, the Dutch government has a policy of tolerance towards soft drug use.
The hash and weed that are sold in the Netherlands contain on average 18% THC. Professor Henk Garretsen is professor of health care policy at Tilburg University and chairman of Tranzo.
