Facebook more addictive than alcohol

Drinks and drugs are no longer the only tickets into rehab. According to research of the University of Chicago, checking updates on Twitter and Facebook is more addictive than alcohol and cigarettes.

Research on our primary needs was performed on 250 respondents. Our main necessities are sleep and sex, but the urge to check social networks is the hardest to resist. Staying away from alcohol or cigarettes is easier than staying away from our social networks. The research has also shown that people find it increasingly harder to suppress an urge after each time they tried not to give in to the habit.
