Caro Emerald at Festival Mundial

Caro Emerald, Stephen Marley, Chef’Special, Dearworld, AfroCubism, MallakhambIndia en SubWays will perform at Festival Mundial.

Emerald also performed in 2010 at the Tilburg Festival, something the organization is proud of. Stephen Marley (the son of Bob Marley) will perform with special guests Jo Mersa & Jasmin Karma. Stephen, alike his father Bob Marley, plays reggae music, but combines it with hip-hop. Marley’s album Revelation Pt. 1: The Root of Life has recently received the Grammy Award for the Best Reggae Album.

Also Chef’Special likes the combination of reggae and hip hop, but they are also inspired by funk and rock. In 2011 they released their debut album One for the Mrs.

The music of Dearworld is a combination of electro house and rock. Dearworld’s music is also much appriated. Recently the band recorded a song for the new film Black Out by director Arne Toonen.

AfroCubism is the original project of Nick Gold with the Buena Vista Social Club, a co-operation between musicians from Mali and Cuba.

MallakhambIndia will perform an act of authentic Hindu pole dance. Breath taking gymnastics skills will be shown on a wooden pole or a rope. MallakhambIndia is one of groups of the Performing Arts part of the Mundial Festival . The performance group Subways, combining existing forms of music and dance, is also one of them.
