Queensday 2012. What (not) to do!

Go crazy in Amsterdam for Queensday? Please, don’t. Queensday is definitely a good reason for celebration, but don’t follow a crowd of eight hundred thousand people going to the capital. Stay comfortably in Brabant instead. Think of all those Ajax football fans. Think of eight hundred thousand (which is six digits, yes!) waving their orange flags. And then think of Brabant. Because that’s where the party is!

And Univers offers you the best tips:

Tilburg

The entire Korte Heuvel is a big cafe, with bars on the streets, DJs playing outside for  whole day, and a real sun, because it will be 20°C. For enthusiasts of good celebrations, there is plenty to do: “‘Tilburg Heej Talent”, “Tilburg Zingt”  and much more.

Den Bosch

On the Vonk en Vlam Terrein, the thirteenth edition of ‘Trix in the Mix” will take place. It is an outdoor dance event with Mighty Fools, Alexander Brown, Joeysuki and Kriss-One.

Eindhoven

Queen-S: Peter Pan Speedrock and Zieke Zuiden, and a skate park.

House of Revolution: happy hardcore, early rave and 90’s hits including Paul Elstak, Mental Theo and Klubbheads.

Majestic Dance Event: dance event with Erik E, Roog and Vato Gonzalez.

Royal Block Party: the best hip-hop in an “American alley” atmosphere with hard hip hop beats, funk & soul and graffiti art.

Breda

Avoid it if you can. Unless hobby markets and flag parades are your cup of tea.
