Noort Commission: Stapel fraud also found in Groningen

Diederik Stapel turns out to have committed data fraud also in Groningen. Manipulations were found in all publications and dissertations that have so far been investigated in Groningen, according to a publication of the Noort Commission on a website. The Noort Commission investigated four publications and two dissertations.

The Levelt committee that investigated Stapel’s work in Tilburg published parts of the results in April. They found that at least twelve publications and three dissertations of the (then) twenty three examined publications / dissertations were fraud. The Tilburg committee also announced new research results yesterday. Another five publications (of 9 surveyed publications / theses) had data fabrication found.
