TiU does well in world rankings Economics and Business
Tilburg University scores well in economics and business research. The university crawls up in two world rankings and leaves other Dutch universities behind, according to the latest results of the Tilburg University Economics Ranking and UT Dallas World Wide Business School Ranking.
American universities are in lead in both of these world rankings. All Dutch universities in the top 100 of both rankings have climbed to higher places.
The top three of the TiU’s Economics Schools Research Ranking consists of respectively Harvard, the University of Chicago and New York University. Tilburg University climbed from the 23rd position to the 21st place, making it the best performing Dutch university. The University of Amsterdam ranks on 27 (was 31), Erasmus University Rotterdam is on 52 (was 55).
In the UT Dallas World Wide Business School Ranking, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University and University of Michigan respectively rank 1th, 2th and 3th position. In this ranking only two Dutch universities appear, with Tilburg University on 38th place (was 41) and Erasmus University Rotterdam on 39 (was 42).
Both rankings are based on publications in economic and business journals, measured over a period of five years, now covering the period 2007-2011. View the full rankings here and here.
