Symposium “Justice for Victims”
Scientists, policy makers and experts examine future on conflict, trauma and reconciliation. At the symposium “Justice for victims” the latest scientific insights on victimology and justice for victims will be shared.
Lawyers, psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists and economists, and students will join “Justice for victims”symposium co-organized by the International Victimology Institute (INTERVICT) of Tilburg University.
One of the sessions theme is about the victims of and dealing with human traffic in the Netherlands. This is led by Jan van Dijk , a Tilburg University professor of victimology. Professor of International Social Responsibility Mirjam van Reisen of the university will speak about the role of women in the peace process in Zimbabwe.
Other themes include the involvement of victims in proceedings of the International Criminal Court and the sexual abuse in the Catholic Church.
