Heidi Veugen voted “student of the year”
Heidi Veugen, student of econometrics at Tilburg University, has been announced the Student of the Year 2012 by studenten.net.
Few months ago students could sign up for the election through a special website, where they could create a profile with photos. They had to answered questions like “what are your ambitions”, “why do you follow this study program” and “what extracurricular activities do you do?”
Basing on those photographs and statements, internet users could vote. After several voting periods there remained about six finalists, 3 men and 3 women.
Veugen received the highest number of votes and won a 16-day tour of Cuba.
