Study leaflets required from universities

In 2014 all universities have to provide study leaflets with adequate information about study and job opportunities, says State Secretary Halbe Zijlstra.

He wants colleges and universities to have an official “Study in figures” leaflet, said Zijlstra yesterday in response to questions from VVD MP Anne-Wil Lucas during the Vragenuurtje.

A study leaflet to prospective students on the basis of figures provides more information for a well thought through choice. The figures will be about how satisfied students are with the study, how often they find work after graduation and how many hours each course takes. Now there are too many leaflets that contain incorrect or incomplete information, just to lure students to the university.
