Universities start collecting long study fines

Universities have started to collect long study fine, reported Radio 1. The long study fine is formally an increase in the tuition fee, therefore has to be paid by students simultaneously with the tuition fee.

For months now there has been a heated debate in Dutch politics  about the long study fine. After student unions lost a lawsuit, the Second Chamber still argued about the fine, but in the end the decision remained intact.
