It is hard to find meaning

European students find it hard to find meaningful work after they graduate. Only 9.6 percent feels like there is a change of finding a type of job that has meaning, and 78.1 percent claims that employers don’t value a bachelor’s degree.

The European Students’ Union concluded this from a survey among its membership. Employability is an important issue in Europe right now, since the start of Bologna process. This has to do with the economical situation. Scholars aren’t always happy with this, since there can be friction between scientific values and the demands of the labor market.

At the same time, all students want work after graduation, of course. Preferably at a job where their academical qualities are used to the fullest.
