Professor arrested, claims rascism

Arrested for walking on the street. A black assistant professor of Arizona State University had a falling out with two campus police officers that told her not to walk on the street. She was avoiding a road construction. She claims that she got picked out because of the color of her skin. The news, along with the disturbing video, is going viral over the internet.

The agents asked Ersula Ore for her identification. She refused and told them of for how they spoke to her. In the video, you can hear the officer say: “If you don’t understand the law, I’m explaining the law to you. The reason I’m talking to you right now is because you are walking in the middle of the street.” The situation escalated and the cops slammed her to the ground. A passer-by called 911 to warn authorities that excessive violence was used. She made a kicking move and is now charged with assaulting an officer.

The university first claimed that it supported the officer, but after the storm of criticism, is now conducting an investigation. Critics say that Ore was picked out because of her skin, and the white people that walked on the street were left alone. They started a Facebook page and a petition to support her.
