No train service between Den Bosch and Tilburg during midterms

Missing your exam because the trains aren’t running: it may not be your fault, but it is still your problem. Even in October, when trains between Den Bosch and Tilburg are not running, students are expected to arrive on time for their exams.

During the midterms in October, no trains will run between Tilburg and Den Bosch due to maintenance work. NS will provide buses as replacement. Students should be aware that these buses have significantly less capacity than the trains. The advice is therefore to leave your house early to avoid missing your exam.

Students who do miss an exam will lose that exam opportunity. A university spokesperson emphasizes personal responsibility. “As with other maintenance work, no exceptions will be made within education.”

Late arrivals

Being late may be less of a problem. Students are allowed to enter the exam room up to thirty minutes after the start time. However, they will lose valuable time: those who start the exam later are not entitled to extra time.

Maintenance work

The midterms will be held from October 13 to 19. This period coincides exactly with the maintenance work on the railway between Den Bosch and Tilburg, which takes place from October 4 to 19.
