Tilburg University can improve communication

Tilburg University is already internationally oriented, but there is still a lot to gain. Internal communication and information for students needs improvement. Students generally view the university as ‘a warm and friendly meeting place, but with a very conservative character’. This is the outcome of the ‘vision project’, an extensive inquiry about Tilburg University among 26 of its senior students.

“It is precisely this group that can provide critical insight into the university’s qualities and into the possible improvements that our University needs”, researchers Inge van der Heijden and Jerry Maas explain.

The research was focused on the university’s norms and standards, not on matters like the number of lecture halls and work places. A vision project among Tilburg University employees was held earlier. [MW/transl. YD]
