Zijlstra: travel right expires only in January 2013
Students who due to the budget cuts announced by the government can’t travel for free anymore, lose their right to travel only on 1 January 2013, and not in September 2012.
Secretary Halbe Zijlstra said that the public transport season ticket is issued per calendar year and not per academic year. Previously, the website of DUO announced the date for the changes in September, but according to Zijlstra it is not so black and white.
