Katerina Blogs: Now what?
There’s an old Greek commercial with the motto “after high school, what?”. My answer to that question was Bachelor’s and then Master’s. And then you reach a certain point when you say : “NOW what?”.
And that point comes once you finally finish your studies and you need to figure out what you want to do now that you’ve actually grown up. I’m lucky enough to have a kick-ass internship, where in a ‘typical’ day at work something like this happens:

(I know what you’re thinking, but no, I’m NOT interning as a F1 driver).
I guess the holy grail of every intern in the world is a “real” job. But then when your internship’s almost over you’re probably wondering: “Should I stay, or should I go? Do I even want to stay? Do THEY want me to stay or do they want me to go? Do I start looking elsewhere? Do I keep hinting that I want to keep working for them, by bringing coffee to my boss every morning and telling them how cute their outfit/tie/turtleneck is?”
If you’re just starting your studies you’re probably wondering what the hell I’m talking about, but if you’re not, then you have been asking yourself these questions. Fear not. An internship is your half way through adult life. It’s the connecting line between your “cool”, reckless days as a student and what comes next: the real world. So enjoy it, and for a while stop asking all these questions!
