Tilburg beats Rotterdam in Economentop 40

After years of letting Erasmus University Rotterdam take the first place, Tilburg has finally achieved first place in the Economentop 40.

All economy faculties in The Netherlands send in names for the Economentop. The entries are evaluated on published articles, comments, letters, notes, discussions and articles for conferences.

For the fourth year in a row, VU-scientist Richard Tol won the competition. However, Tilburg University achieved the highest score all together. Jan van Ours is the highest individual scientist coming from TiU, on the eleventh place. Nine economist from Tilburg are included in the list. The annual Economentop is composited by the magazine Economisch Statistische Berichten.
