‘Public humiliation’ at Oxford University College
Your worst exam results publicly exposed: for a lot of students, this sounds like a nightmare. At the University College Oxford, however, this is exactly what happened.
Staff sent out an e-mail with the 50 worst performing students in the pre-Christmas exams to all the students at one of Oxford’s colleges. Students on the list say that they feel “publicly humiliated” and tell university medium The Tab: “It’s hard not to feel everyone’s talking about you. They may as well have gone the whole hog and just released all health records of students whilst they were at it – or maybe just those with Sexual Transmitted Infections”.
The University College has apologized for the blunder.
