Delft University in top fifty world universities

Delft University of Technology belongs to the fifty best universities of the world. It comes in at the 42nd place. The University of Amsterdam ends up between 71 – 80 and Utrecht and Leiden between 81 -90. Tilburg University isn’t included in the list.

The list, that came out today, is the World Reputation Ranking, a spin-off from the annual Times Higher Education-ranking of best universities in the world. In the reputation ranking, citation scores and publications are used, but also the results of a reputation survey among 60.000 scientists. Pollster Ipsos MediaCT has asked a selected group of scientists what, according to them, are the best universities.

Last year, five universities were included in the ranking. Wageningen fell out of the top 100. Just like in 2013, American and British universities are the best.
