Tilburg enters Leiden ranking
For the first time, Tilburg University has managed to achieve a spot in the Leiden ranking. The list contains 750 universities, Tilburg comes in 252nd.
The Leiden ranking measures the number of publications in English magazines containing subjects from the beta and social science field. The citation impact and the scientific cooperation based on these publications also count. Leiden University is the highest rated Dutch university at place 53.
The top 50 is almost entirely American. The number one, Rockefeller University, is new in the list. It is a private institution in New York. Other universities in the top 5 are Stanford and Harvard.
