Tilburg University announced measures today to keep the coronavirus at bay. Students and employees who have recently been in affected regions are requested not to come to campus. For staff members, work trips to high-risk areas are not permitted until further notice.

Last week, the first Dutch case of the coronavirus was confirmed in Tilburg. Following government guidelines, Tilburg University initially did not take measures to prevent the virus from spreading to campus.

Earlier today, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) stated that the number of infected people has risen to eighteen. As more cases are being confirmed, Tilburg University is now taking steps to keep the coronavirus at bay.
