Success for Tilburg rugby students
The Tilburg Student Rugby Club Tarantula won the first play-offs match against Amsterdam AAC3 last Sunday. If the students win the playoffs, they are promoted to third class.
TSRC Tarantula finished second in the league last week, and reached the play-offs. Last year the team finished fourth. It is the second time that Tarantula competes in the league. After some years of absence the Tilburg Students’ team was re-established by a group of enthusiastic students.
Rugby is gaining popularity and is starting to become quite popular in the Netherlands, especially in university towns.
On April 10 Tarantula will plays the decisive and final game against ‘The Wasps’ in Nijmegen.
